Various Artists: Dreams of What Life Could Have Been The Ultimate Sludge Compilation (Psychedoomelic) By: Jeb Branin
Calling this the Ultimate Sludge Compilation might seem a bit presumptuous and insolent but when you feature a lineup that includes heavyweights (all puns intended) of the scene like GRIEF and FISTULA (each with two tracks) it's hard to convincingly argue the point. The mixture of tar and anvils is further enhanced by two tracks from SOULPREACHER and one track each from THEE PLAGUE OF GENTLEMEN, NEGATIVE REACTION, RAMESSES, and MOSS. The label to bring us such grandeur is based in Hungary and is called PsycheDOOMelic. And that, my friends, really says it all: PsycheDOOMelic in-damn-deed. My only complaint is that there aren't any Hungarian bands on here other than NEGATIVE REACTION (whom I think hail from Hungary, although I wouldn't bet the life of anyone I liked on it).
