Industrial Mix Machine
By: [email protected]

Industrial music, from its experimental noise beginnings to its current state of hard-dance music fueled by sequencers, synths, and vocoders, has definatly been mutating into something beautiful. The compilation CD, Industrial Mix Machine, the double CD set produced by Cleopatra records is one of the most complete mixes of old and new industrial, electro, and experimental music.

Old, original acts such as Psychic TV, Frontline Assembly, and Die Krupps are remixed by newer acts like Project Pitchfork, Pygmy Children, and Spahn Ranch. They in turn get the treatment by other prestigous acts. With great respect for one another's work they remix each others songs, providing new twists on well known songs and surprising variety. With the moving beats and experimental sounds, this musc never fails to shock you, yet draw you in for more.

Artists from around the world are represented from the American acts Razed in Black and Hate Department to Denmark's Birmingham 6 and Leather Strip to the German group Lights of Euphoria. Even the harder to find female acts such as Regenerator are represented.

All in all, this is one of the greatest collections of past and present industrial bands and their amazing remixes of each others work. For those new to industrial music and looking for an example of some of the greatest songs and for those who are just looking for a good compilation CD to draw together their collection, this is the one I would recommend.
