 Post-punk power-pop with a hardcore upbringing, River City High drives home the emo in emotional with blistering rhythms, sharp hooks, and lyrics straight from the gut. About ready to break down and cry at any time, while trying to act tough, the vocalist helps drive the music beyond the generic, giving it an edge - that single touch - that makes it something new and fresh. When I first put on this CD I thought I'd be bored. However, it is a roller coaster ride of harder, poppier, and faster pop music that will put a smile on your face. I'll give it a B+. 15
