Fuck World Trade (Alternative Tentacles)

 It's too bad that this radical leftist statement against the promulgation of corporate greed is being presented by such a run-of-the-mill band. LEFTOVER CRACK is a ska and reggae influenced hardcore band that eschews the mainstream and instead is dedicated to the grit and grime of the underground. I appreciate their attempts to shed light on the powerplay of the "ultimate rich" around the world, but musically I can't see myself ever listening to this again. I do wonder how much of the band's message and politics will be lost because of their inflammatory use of the 9/11 attacks as a platform for their ridicule? I suspect that the only people who will be able get past the visuals of the cover are people who already share the band's perception. Too bad. They have, in effect, silenced themselves in an effort to be heard.
