We Move Through Weather (Temporary Residence Ltd.)

 Textural, spacious, even tribal sounding, Tarentel's We Move Through Weather is a sonic composition of guitars, piano, drums, bass, percussion, and other instrumentation, creating an instrumental soundscape that knows less-is-more and adheres to it quite well, leaving plenty of space, but never wasting it. Conjuring up memories of late-night walks through industrial areas of the city, with no nothing but the flickering of street lights and the wind to keep you company, Tarentel's use of isolation and exploitation of it excels here as they deliver something both creepy and breath taking. I'll give it a B.
