Pilot Scott Tracy
Any City (Alternative Tentacles)

By: Jeb Branin

I tried to stay awake while listening to this CD - really, I did. But I couldn't stand this thin sounding "diddlely-doo tweedly-dee" new wave in the 80s and I certainly can't stand it now. So I figured I would at least learn something about the band before I decided to totally ignore the CD. So I read the write up on PILOT SCOTT TRACY at the Alternative Tentacles website and I read a couple of other reviews and found out that this band rose from the ashes of THE CAUSEY WAY, which explains completely why this sucks. I used to try and stay awake while listening to CAUSEY WAY as well. But this is worse. Imagine taking the few decent influences CAUSEY WAY had (THE DOG FACED HERMANS, ALICE DONUT, and JEFFERSON AIRPLANE) and removing them so that all that was left was the aforementioned new wave. Bleck.
