 Shoegazer to a tee, The Slow Signal Fade's Through The Opaque Air takes the tag and lives up to its every expectation. Building upon the drawn out melodies with attention to rock, creating a swirling, calculated explosion where needed, and simmering things down during other parts to reel you in as they hint and hint at what is to come, before unleashing it. There are no hooks and no obvious attempts to candy coat anything. Instead, they seem more content making you wait, and work for it, as they slowly layer and build, heightening your expectations before coming out with it. By doing that, they keep you wanting more, and on the edge of your seat, and that in itself wins a band kudos lately. I'll give it a B+.
