 A male-female duo, The Youngs' may garner comparisons to The Carpenters with their harmonizing. That is, if The Carpenters liked dark, hauntingly beautiful melodies propelled by indie-rock and space-pop. Which is what this eleven-track record offers up, early morning melodies covered in the fog of space, making the sounds obscured but still visible, as they reel you into their world of pleasure and fright. Like walking down a dark alley, even though its daylight, you feel scared, but still somewhat comfortable. After all, it is daylight. Their melodies and intricacies play these kinds of tricks on your mind - and you'll like it. I'll give it a B+.
