Soil
Throttle Junkies (MIA Records)

By: Jeb Branin

Man your thought their EP kicked it out? Well you ain't heard nothin' until you open the throttle all the way and let the SOIL flow. This is down and dirty hard rockin' metal that gets to the nitty gritty of what makes the rock roll and the roll rock. Borrowing the groove laced delivery of the likes of SOUNDGARDEN and WHITE ZOMBIE and merging it with the titanium riffing of METALLICA, these gents known as SOIL are the epitome of everything that is right with the new generation of hard rockers. They proudly wave the banner of heavy metal but they do so with an eye and an ear to the future. No looking back. No wallowing in retro worship. This is metal for ten years from now not ten years ago. Superb.
