J-Majesty's self-titled full-length is a jam-happy mixture of indie rock and funk. It has a weird art-jazz touch to it, too. Though the jazz aspirations are deeply buried amidst the wretched indie-funk-rock that fills the album.
The guitars are annoying. The vocals near intolerable. And the music is nothing spectacular. Here is a wild, uncontrollable rock band that could use some lessons on sounding cohesive and in synch with the rest of the band. I'll give it a D.
