Neil Young with Crazy Horse

The rocking veteran Neil Young is back with Crazy Horse. But this time, he doesn't live up to some of his past work. Sure, the album is a great display of rock n' roll, and as always, the guitar on the album is great. The overall feel of the album is a swaying motion. From relaxing in parts, to the harder side of the album.The first track on the album is "Big Time." Great guitar riffs, and a very soft tone to the song. "Loose Change" starts off with a heavy guitar intro, enter the drums, and even the harmonica. "Slip Away" has another heavy guitar intro but this time it lasts a minute and forty seconds. I'm not one to sit there and wait for vocals. If your going to add vocals to a song, make the intro short, forty seconds at the most. Once you hit the minute mark, give up and go for an instrumental. But due to the fact there are only eight tracks on the CD, you have to expand everything somehow. If you want a full-length release and don't want to put a lot of tracks, make the songs you do have extra long. That seems to be the attitude of the album. This album falls short to expectations. I would have to give this CD a C. There is so much room for improvement, and some extra tracks would have been nice.
