The Pixies were one of the first bands to mix rock and punk into one form of music. Truly alternative and musically ahead of their time; the Pixies were fixtures on top of college radio charts, but received little air play from MTV or on mainstream radio. As the result of constant touring and the pressure of releasing five albums in six years the band broke up suddenly in 1993. A musical masterpiece; Doolittle sounds like most current top 40 albums and when you hear the Pixie tunes: Here Comes Your Man, Gouge Away, I Bleed and Debaser, you will understand how the Pixies music has influenced so many in the music industry.
