Life In A Burn Clinic Individual Rites (Metal Blade/Prosthetic) By: Jeb Branin
It is finally here! Hot damn! I have waited for the debut from LIFE IN A BURN CLINIC ever since they singed the hair off my body with their first demo. LIABC crafts a tumultuous merger between back-to-basics hyper-thrash and complex dark-core. Their profuse INFEST/LACK OF INTEREST influences can't be ignored but at the same time they use intricate arrangements that delve into the inky depths populated by the new-breed of extreme hardcore bands who kick it DEP-style. To this sound they add a disquieting array of negative energies like hate, despondency, and rage in a brazen attempt at creating insurrection amongst societal clones and the foot soldiers of the system. I am always impressed with albums that can actually achieve a degree of extremity in extreme hardcore and LIABC do exactly that. 15
