 The Beanweevils create refreshing, enticing pop music with a twist. Throw in some 60's psychedelic rock, an acid trip jam session where the band writes songs (especially the lyrics), and a hearty portion of bouncy, jangly pop and you have one of America's quirkiest pop acts. Unlike standard pop bands, The Beanweevils don't beat you over the head with hooks. Instead, they prefer to make you stare and wonder what the heck they're doing, and before long you've starred too long and you're hooked. Crunchy, melodic, hook-laden pop, you can't ask for more. I'll give it a B-.
