 Under the Unminding Skies, the debut, six-song EP from Los Angeles singer-songwriter Patrick Park is a dusty folk-pop record. A warm, plaintive, no frills record that relies on the acoustic guitar and Park's voice to convey its messages instead of hitting you over the head with evasive and elaborate production tricks. It thrives in this environment too, Park's voice as natural and woodsy as his songs. A breathtaking, scenic combination, Park delivers six warm songs that bask and glow for the listener to feed off. I'll give it a B.
