Enya Paint the Sky With Stars: The Best of Enya(Reprise Records) By: Alex Steininger
One of the most influential new age artists of our time, Enya deserves a "best of..." album. And PAINT THE SKY WITH STARS is that album. Containing material off her three multi-platinum CD's Watermark, Shepherd Moons and The Memory of Trees, as well as here 1987 debut album The Celts, which was reissued on Reprise in 1995. Also included are two brand new tracks, "Paint The Sky With Stars" and the first single, "Only If...". Enya's beautiful voice holds strong through the album. Her voice is enchanting, making you fall in love with her after each word is sung. So elegant and beautiful, classics like "Orinoco Flow (Sail Away)" and "Storms In Africa" come out like the masterpieces they are. And "Only If..." flows through the air with it's cool, breezy melody and wind like singing. You can feel the wind blow through your hair as it finds it's way to your ears. Everything is very majestic. Nothing is out of place. Enya shines through with "Paint the Sky With Stars: The Best of Enya." Sixteen tracks sure to keep everyone satisfied until her next album. With almost fifty eight minutes of music, you won't be disappointed. If your into easy listening and want a nice CD you can sit back and relax too, while drinking that special coffee blend, this is the CD for you. An A+ job from the queen of new age music.
